Pets have been at the centre of our attention for more than 37 years. Our passion for pets and their owners and our interest in them have helped us grow continuously.

As market leader TRIXIE Heimtierbedarf (Pet Supplies) GmbH & Co KG regularly supplies about 5,000 customers in Germany with approximately 6,000 items for dogs, cats, small animals, fish and reptiles.

Today more than 300 employees work in the company's headquarters in Tarp, in administration as well as in warehousing. In addition to that the company trains apprentices in six different professions.

25 sales representatives and two merchandisers provide customer service for Germany and Austria. Another six sales reps look after our direct marketing in UK, and seven more cover the French market.

The company's comprehensive range of products is exported to more than 60 countries. The complete logistical service and handling of orders is done from Tarp.

Innovative products, modern technology, fast delivery capacity, customer-oriented service and highly motivated employees can be named as some of our success factors.

Many of our product lines are developed, checked and tested in-house by our experts. High quality standards as well as meticulous attention to customer care are a top priority for us.

1974
Bonnik Hansen founds the company TRIXIE in Flensburg.

1976
The company relocates to Wees and administration is set up.

1986
The company moves into new premises in Jarplund-Weding with more than 1000 m2 warehouse space and 80 m2 office space.

Relocation to business park in Tarp:
Total site area approx. 40,000 m2, 2000 m2 of which are used as office space and 13,000 m2 as warehouse space

Expansion of site area by 10,000 m2 to approx. 50,000 m2, expansion of warehouse space by 9000 m2 to 22,000 m2 in total

Expansion of site area to approx. 60,000 m2
Expansion of warehouse space to 34,000 in total and space for 51,000 pallets

2010
Number of employees: over 300

2011
Construction of new warehouse: expansion by 9,000 m2 and space for approx. 17,800 pallets on a total area of 42,000 m2 and space for about 70,000 pallets. Completion in December 2011.
