Let the hedgehogs pass through!

Hedgehogs wander through large areas in their search for food. Increased building development reduces their natural habitat more and more. A rise in traffic takes many animal lives.

In a 90-hectare area in the south east of Birmingham, animal rights activists have called on the inhabitants to cut holes into their garden fences. This is intended to create a connected living space in which the animals can find food, shelter and partners more easily.

Hedges and trelliswork fences are very suitable as boundary fencing. In wide wire mesh fences, hedgehogs can get caught; therefore wire mesh fences should not reach down to the ground.  Support walls and garden walls should have gaps for hedgehogs to pass through.

NEW in the TRIXIE product range - the natura Hedgehog Hotel made of glazed pine.
With it, you can provide all-year-round shelter in your garden for your spiky guest. A special labyrinth entrance serves as protection against intruders.
