Occupational Health Management (BGM) at TRIXIE

Creating a healthy workplace is no coincidence – for us, it is an active and ongoing process. Whether it is prolonged sitting, physical strain or mental demands, we take a holistic view of our employees’ working environment and continuously develop it further. Our focus is not on isolated measures, but on genuinely improving quality of working life.

The world of work is changing rapidly: people are working longer, demands are increasing and the boundaries between professional and private life are becoming increasingly blurred. This makes it all the more important to create a workplace that supports rather than strains – both physically and mentally.

That is why TRIXIE introduced its Occupational Health Management (BGM) programme back in 2014. Since then, we have continuously expanded and refined our initiatives. Our aim is to create a modern, sustainable health concept that supports employees through different stages of life while promoting a healthy corporate culture.

Topics such as physical activity, nutrition, mental wellbeing, leadership and the working environment are all closely interconnected.

How we put this into practice

  • Flexible, family-friendly working models that support individual life situations
  • Targeted “Healthy Leadership” training for managers, embedding health as a core part of our leadership culture
  • A dedicated health programme for apprentices, covering nutrition, exercise, stress management, communication, time and self-management, and addiction prevention
  • A broad range of exercise and fitness opportunities, including on-site classes such as functional training, medical fitness and yoga, subsidies for the Tarper outdoor swimming pool, and access to Hansefit
  • Additional wellbeing initiatives focused on relaxation and recovery, including in-house massage services
  • Specialist menopause support on site, including general talks, topic-based workshops and open consultation sessions
  • Expanded preventive health services such as skin cancer screening, nutritional counselling and posture and foot analysis
  • Professional support for personal and social challenges through counselling services provided by Haus der Familie
  • A structured return-to-work management process (BEM), including confidential consultations following longer periods of illness
  • A continuously evolving occupational health and safety approach that places equal emphasis on safety and wellbeing

In addition, our BGM programme regularly introduces new focus areas – from back health to stress prevention. Through targeted campaigns, workshops and practical initiatives, we ensure that health remains visible and relevant in everyday working life.

Continuous development is a key part of our approach: we regularly review our measures, gather feedback and adapt our offerings to the needs of our employees.

Our goal is clear: to create a working environment that not only enables high performance but also supports long-term health and wellbeing.
