A collar is one of the first things you buy for your dog. Since collars can only grow to a limited extent, a pet will need several collars in the course of their life.
A collar provides security. What types of collars are available?

If the dog pulls harder on the leash, the collar will tighten to the set pull-stop point. When the dog lets go, the collar widens again and becomes more comfortable for the dog. The pull-stop point or knot of the collar is adjustable: before use, the point must be set so that the pet cannot slip out of the collar and it is never too tight when pulled.

When choosing the right size, the following rule of thumb should be followed: As wide as possible, but as tight as necessary.
