Garden & Pet Company ( NASDAQ: CENT) (NASDAQ: CENTA), a leading US company in the pet supplies and gardening sectors, is acquiring a majority stake in TRIXIE. This strategic partnership opens up new opportunities for sustainable growth, innovation and international expansion.

This move forms part of the long-term succession plan for founder Bonnik Hansen, who established TRIXIE in 1974 and has shaped the company for over 50 years. The proceeds from the sale of his shares will go to his foundation, which supports social and charitable causes.

Importantly, TRIXIE will continue to be managed independently and will carry on its successful course under the existing management team (Dirk Jessen, Burkhard Friedrichsen and Danny Bollerey), maintaining its customary customer focus and strong corporate culture. The Tarp site will remain the central hub of our company.
