Scratching post for Senior Cats

With age, cats start to lose their bounce and their joints become less flexible. Furniture that help cats with the climbing become useful. Our scratching post for senior cats features special climbing aids or steps, and thus allows even older cats to reach the higher levels. Lying surfaces made of viscoelastic foam are outstandingly point-elastic and perfectly adapt to the body shape of a pet, providing better relief for pressure points and preventing unhealthy sleeping positions. The foam is particularly stable in shape and always returns to its original shape (memory effect). The vital beds are especially recommended for older or physically impaired pets.

The load-bearing capacity of our cat furniture depends on usage, assembly, proper installation, and—for wall-mounted units—the condition of the wall and the mounting method. It is therefore not possible to provide a general specification in kilogrammes. For safe use, we recommend regularly checking the item to ensure it is stable and free of signs of wear and tear.

For larger and heavier cats, we recommend our XXL models, which are built to be particularly sturdy and are better suited for active or strong cats.
