Our cats like to be out and about, for example exploring the garden and the surrounding area. In doing so, they stay in areas that are also populated by ticks, such as the edges of woods, in the taller grass in the garden or even in parks and other green spaces.

It can happens that our velvet paws pick up one or more ticks. Once the parasites have taken hold, they can cause inflammation, but also serious diseases. If the ticks fall off the cat in our home before they bite, they can also infect humans.

Therefore, every cat owner should make sure that ticks are removed gently and timely, so that an inflammation cannot occur.. But not only ticks can be a nuisance and cause inflammations and diseases, other parasites such as fleas, mites, mosquitoes, hair lice etc. can also affect the health of your pet.

In order to protect your cat and your living area as much as possible from parasite infestation, we offer a range of products that have a repellent effect on parasites. How do I remove a tick?

If your furry friend is already infested with ticks, we offer a variety of tick tweezers and pens for removal. Our model with LED light makes it easy to find ticks even in dark and dense fur. We also offer special pens and loops for removing particularly small ticks, with which even tiny parasites can be safely removed. Our tick removers have a small, handy shape and can also be attached to bags or clothing with the help of a clip, making them ready to hand for every occasion.

How can I prevent flea and tick infestations?

Another, no less annoying parasite is the flea. A flea infestation can occur if your cat has direct contact with other cats or wild animals that are already infested. Like ticks, fleas feed on the blood of the host animal and their bites can also cause inflammation and diseases such as flea saliva allergy or anaemia. In addition, fleas can also spread in your home if the conditions are right and their spreading is not counteracted quickly – here they can also infest humans.

To prevent fleas and ticks from infesting your pet, you can use our Flea and Tick Protection Spot-On, our Flea and Tick Protection Powder or our Anti-Parasite Collar. The flea and tick protection Spot-on is applied directly to the pet and is effective for up to 6 weeks per application. The flea and tick protection powder is also applied directly to the cat and has a repellent effect for up to 8 weeks. Our anti-parasite collar has a safety closure and can be used on kittens as young as 12 weeks.

You can also use our flea and dust combs to remove parasites from your beloved pet's coat. The parasites are simply combed out of the fur by the fine tines. You can also use this method to diagnose the parasite species.

How can I treat my living space in case of a parasite infestation?

The environment as well as the home should also be specially treated in case of a parasite infestation. With our sprays and foggers for the environment, parasites such as fleas, flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, mites, moths and hair lice can be eliminated.
